CASE STUDY:

“FIND YOUR PEOPLE” CAMPAIGN

THE ASK:

In collaboration with Connecticut Public’s Digital Marketing Team, MediaVision Creative conceptualized “Find Your People” a brand campaign that frames public media not as a service, but as a shared community. Built around the human need to belong, the campaign invites viewers and listeners to see themselves reflected in the values at the heart of public media: curiosity, compassion, trust and connection. 

 

Using warm docu-style visuals and authentic, unscripted voices of Connecticut Public journalists, hosts and staff, the campaign shines a light on the individuals behind Connecticut Public’s mission… the real people who make public media possible every day.  Our creative team ideated and created a package of print, digital, audio and video content with messaging and visuals crafted around this core belief: when viewers and listeners of public media recognize their own experiences, challenges, and hopes in the people who create their news, stories and conversations, they aren’t just watching or listening… they’re finding their people. 

CREATIVE SOLUTION:

We kicked off the campaign featuring (8) Connecticut Public journalists sharing why they choose to work in Public Media, and what engagement with Connecticut Public uniquely brings to a viewer/listener, their families and their communities. 

 

What we set out to capture had to reflect the campaign positioning of “when you support Connecticut Public, you’re not just donating, you’re finding your people” and the journalists were all in. So rather than capturing the interviews and b-roll in the newsroom, the journalists graciously invited our crew into their homes and favorite gathering places, to record them and their families…at work and at play. Cooking, bike riding, watching tv, enjoying nature, riding the bus…real people doing everyday activities that matter in their lives…just like the viewers and listeners they serve.

 

MediaVision Creative provided a “script to screen” solution for this campaign including conceptual design, scriptwriting, on location video production, sound design, video editing and graphic design services to deliver a robust package of print and digital assets, multiple radio and tv spots, multiple shorter pieces of content for social, and multiple longer pieces of content for on air and digital distribution.
